The staff of Portage Public Schools and Excelsior Software, Inc. are proud to bring this service to you. Here you will be able to access your student’s grades, attendance, and other education information in real time.†

It is our hope that you and your student will find this site an invaluable tool in monitoring and managing your student’s progress throughout his/her educational career at PPS. It is our belief as a school district that the more involved you are, the better your student will do. This site has been developed in response to that belief. PPS strongly encourages you to share account access with your student – studies consistently indicate that the more a student is involved in her/his education, the better she/he will perform.

The PPS PIV web site is governed by the PPS Acceptable Use Agreement. In addition to the main agreement, the items listed below serve as a fully enacted and enforceable extension to the afore mentioned agreement. Be aware that your use of this site implies that you have read AND agree to ALL of the terms included in the main agreement, in addition to the ones listed below.

Your access ID's and PIN codes are for your use only. Do not share them with other parents, etc. Portage Public Schools strongly suggests that you DO share the access codes with your students, however, so that they may monitor their own progress.
Abuse of this site may result in the loss of access privileges. Abuse may include (but is not limited to): attempting to bypass site security, sharing access ID's and PIN codes with unauthorized users, and/or distributing information obtained on this site in such a manner as to detract from Portage Public Schools' reputation and/or interfere with its normal operation.
Automated E-mail notifications are provided for your convenience only and they are not intended to serve as the primary tool for monitoring student attendance and/or progress.

Information retrieved via the web-site or via automated E-mails should be regarded as non-official and non-binding in nature. Any specific questions, concerns, or information requests related to academic performance as related to eligibility, scholarships, class ranks, college entrance, et. all, should be referred to the appropriate building staff directly (i.e. a teacher, guidance counselor, or administrator).

†As per PPS regulations, teachers of grades 4-12 are required to update their gradebooks at least once per week under normal circumstances. Due to a wide variety of classroom situations and instruction units, you will find that some teachers update grades on a more frequent basis. Occasionally, some units of instruction will take more than a week to complete. Attendance information is typically updated on a daily basis. If you have any concerns related to the frequency of updates, please contact the teacher in question directly, or the building principal.
